Hello …..
It was absoloutley insane!! It was an amazing experience and it's definitely worth heading in!

I highly recommend having a full read of my blogs to give you an in-depth and true idea of what it will be like. I went in alone for a month first up and it was incredible.

Here's my blogs http://nomadichands.com/home/?s=ikiam There is Ikiam 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. At the bottom of 5 there are the sorts of jobs that are available... yet I'm sure that Pascual would be flexible in letting you share any skills or experience you have with anything they need for the organisation.

Where abouts are you located? If you are in Sydney I can show you some videos. Here are pictures also: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nomadichands/sets/72157609872744654/

Take a few long sleved shirts, pants and socks that mosquitoes cant penetrate into. I also had to bathe in my clothes. That was the only thing I really REALLY hated. TAKE A MOSQITO NET!! TAKE TWO!! just incase one gets ripped. There is a specific type of repellent you can get in Puyo.... only get the green and white chunky bottle (sorry I cant remember what its called) as it really works.

Also a hammok is a great idea (you can get one really cheap in Puyo for like 10 bucks).

You will really need to ask pascual how much it will cost you to go in etc. The planes are expensive though and sometimes it is difficult to get out right when you want to... you may have to wait a few days.

How many of you will there be?

If you go in, you MUST give everyone huuuuuge hugs from me and say that I love them all and may be returning to Ecuador soon (this year) to do more work to collect specific destructive evidence and fight the oil companies. Especially give Fanni a great big extra hug for me please.

If you need any other info, please feel free to ask.

I'd love to hear of what your thoughts are after reading the blogs :)

All the best,
Simone
